Gizem is a director from Istanbul. She studied Film&TV and Sociology at Istanbul Bilgi University. While studying, she attended film festivals with her shorts and won many awards including The Golden Boll Award in 2009.

She started her career as an AD, moving into the direction in 2012. After joining Vana Film in 2015, she started shooting commercial works for national and international brands including ING Bank, IKEA, Pepsi-Co, Turk Telekom, Odeabank, KFC, Koç Holding and Pegasus Airlines.

She’s credited as the scriptwriter for ‘Dönerse Senindir’, a feature film released in 2016.
